Eduardo Furtado de Simas Filho

About

Eduardo F. de Simas Filho was born at Salvador, Bahia, Brazil in 1978. Obtained his B.Sc. (1996-2001) and M.Sc. (2002-2004) in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA) and his Ph.D. (2006-2010) also in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (COPPE/UFRJ). He had been a Professor with the Federal Institute for Science, Education and Technology of Bahia, Brazil from 2007 until 2011. Since 2011 he has been an Associate Professor with the Electrical Engineering Program, Federal University of Bahia, Brazil (PPGEE - UFBA). Since 2021 has been a member of the ATLAS experiment collaboration at CERN. His main research interests are statistical signal processing, intelligent systems, latent variables analysis, embedded systems, experimental high-energy physics, passive sonar and instrumentation.
